Card Counting Number of Hands

How many hands will it take?

Let's turn the focus to the number of hands. In this chart we fix the goal at 2,000 units and the probability of success at 85%. Our bankroll varies from 1,000 to 2,000 units. So, how many hands must we play to have an 85% probability of success of reaching 2,000 units with a 1,000 unit bankroll? About 49,000 hands at the left of the chart. As the bankroll increases, the hands required decreases in a fairly linear manner. No hands are required if the bankroll and goal are the same.

What about hands to goals?

This chart is much like that above only we fix the bankroll and vary the goal.
